One day left

Hey everyone,

We have one day left, and hopefully when we get back, you will get to hear the extended version of all of our stories. The last two days we have gotten to spend some time at an orphanage and it has been a major blessing.

We are leaving tomorrow night (which is really early the next day) and we will be on our way back home to the states.

Teal and Matt are pretty sick, and a couple other people are not feeling too hot, so please pray for the health of our team, and pray that we make it home safe!

July 7th

Hey everyone!

Yesterday at a Sudanese clinic two of the people on our team, Gaby and Matt, were able to make some MAJOR progress with a CP patient. He was a kid who was about 10 years old and throughout working with him, he was smiling and happy the whole time. Praise God for Gaby's physical therapy skills.

Last night we were able to meet some cool people at the mall that they have here, and tonight we are going to be able to meet with them at a popular park that is close to where we are staying.

Today we went to a place where widow's meet to praise and worship. It was really cool. We got to sing some songs, Gaby gave her testimony, and then Matt gave a devotional - and I think they liked all of it.

Have a great day!

The first full day

Hey everyone! Hope to be posting some sweet pics tomorrow of all our adventures.

Today we were able to have a lot of cool conversations with people, and learn a lot from the people we are staying with - they are very wise and very gracious and it is a blessing to be with them. We also had an authentic local dinner, which was greasy and good. We will see how it works out tomorrow... :-D

Please pray for us, that we would let Jesus take over this trip and take over our lives - basically that His Kingdom would come, and His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. We were able to pray and worship tonight on the roof of the place that we are staying, in a city where the majority of people do not know Jesus. It is very much like Texas - so many Christians, yet so many people who do not follow Christ. It is both discouraging and encouraging. Discouraging to see so many people lost and without hope, or with a false hope, yet encouraging because we have to chance to share the good news with so many people who do not know it (The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few (Matthew 9:37 (see also 38)). We see a people who follow a false god and think about how foolish that is, but really, we do it so often in our lives, or at least in my life. We seek out the approval of men, the comfort of things, and the satisfaction in so many things that in the end will not satisfy. And when these things our followed, we are the ones left with a false hope in a false god. I want to seek the True God, the Holy One of Israel, the most Awesome God, and HIS name is Jesus.

First Day

We have just arrived to North Africa safely with all our baggage. Our friend was there to pick us up from the airport and now we are hanging out in their flat. Later on today, we are going to have to dinner and try to defeat jet-lag.

.........

Dinner was good, and we start our first day tomorrow, so please pray for us! We need team unity, productivity, and patience. We need Jesus the most, so pray for that, too.

Hopefully we will get some good pics to y'all soon. Have a great day!
